Gift Opening

Patrick didn't want a public gift opening. I really didn't care as long as I got to open them. Mom insisted on seeing what we got as wedding gifts. So in the midst of moving and cleaning, we opened gifts this morning. We didn't have them many gifts so to speak. We got a lot of cards. We opened the cards and few gifts we had a Patrick's last night. We got a fair amount of money. We got some nice gifts and some we didn't register for. However, we didn't get our Wii -- I guess Bob and Tanya didn't coordinate that one very well with the bridal party. That is the one thing I plan on buying immediately though. I really really want to start using Wii Fit.
Wedding Gift Awards:
Best Wedding Gift -- Pampered Chef stuff
Most Unusual Wedding Gift -- Coffee Tree (which was wrapped in Christmas paper). We don't even drink coffee. It might make a good spice rack if I find the right size jars....
Most generous Gifter -- Danielle
Least likely to be used Gift -- Smelly home oil (so not into that kind of stuff)
Most not quite what we wanted but it'll do gift -- The George Foreman Grill (it was the wrong one but since we have the appliances that would have been included with the George we wanted, it really doesn't matter)
Most humorous gift -- The check from Gary ($51.23 -- a play on 123 Amy's Way)

Now I must continue to write those thank you notes. They are a pain but they have to get done.

Here's some pictures of gift opening:
